Ready to take on the world? The Advanced Manufacturing Growth Centre co-funds projects on a competitive basis that involve technologies with strong export potential. In this way, we help our members to access crucial financing, networks and institutional support during the early stages of commercialising their ideas.
The projects we fund are designed to inspire the next generation of Australian manufacturing success. They could include innovative product or service development, as well as initiatives involving shared commercialised research collaboration or technology transfer. Successful projects will be funded dollar-for-dollar.
The Advanced Manufacturing Growth Centre is here to create a vibrant Australian manufacturing ecosystem. We want to help firms share knowledge and resources – particularly where they belong to related value chains or operate in close geographical proximity. That’s why we are establishing dynamic research and development hubs in strategic locations nationwide.
Examples include the National Additive Manufacturing Collaboration Hub in Clayton, Victoria. This has been created in partnership with the CSIRO’s Lab 22 and Monash University. Another is the National Carbon Fibre Manufacturing Collaboration Hub in Geelong, Victoria – a joint initiative with Deakin University and the CSIRO Fibres of the Future Laboratory. We have also committed $250,000 towards the development of an Industry 4.0 TestLab facility at the brand-new Manufacturing Futures Research Institute at Swinburne University of Technology.
