Our Projects
Commercialise the Life-Port WPDS unit and other system variants
Project description and overview:
Life h2o Australia (Life h2o) has designed and developed an innovative, energy efficient customisable deployable water purification and desalination system that incorporates a number of unique processes that remove hard metals, harmful chemicals, dissolved minerals, viruses and bacteria from almost any water source.
Life h2o has been working in collaboration with the ADF since 2020 to develop its patented Military Grade Deployable Water Security Systems for defence operations, humanitarian aid and disaster relief efforts to fill a significant capability gap in the defence and HADR market.
This project will finalise the design, secure the tooling required for onshore manufacturing in Darwin and commercialise the Life-Port WPDS unit to broader markets whilst also securing and streamlining the local supply chain.
A local ecosystem will reduce manufacturing and supply chain costs and stimulate the local NT economy. In addition to achieving the goal of becoming Australia’s first Northern Territory (NT) headquartered defence prime, Life h2o will establish and maintain a ’new to the territory’ sustainable local sovereign manufacturing capability, expand into non-military market sectors, increase employment opportunities and increase NT manufacturing output and international exports.
