AMGC releases August Project Report

We are pleased to announce the release of our first AMGC Projects Report.

This report provides an update on all our projects, both those underway and those in development. Crucially, each of these projects features the application of advanced manufacturing characteristics, including advanced knowledge, advanced processes and advanced business models.

Leveraging one or more of these characteristics is vital to achieving success in the increasingly global and sophisticated manufacturing environment.

As illustrated throughout our report, there are many pathways to becoming advanced. AMGC firmly believes, and has shown in its research, that it is not what you make, but how you make it. The manufacturers featured in our report are introducing many forms of advanced characteristics, and the greatest outcome is the example these firms are setting for the Australian economy.

AMGC is currently facilitating or developing more than 20 projects across the nation. In addition, we have roughly the same number of projects lined up for scoping and approval. In Queensland, we have six active projects underway, with funding of over $8.5 million committed. In New South Wales, we are working on four projects, worth $2.5 million in total. In Victoria, we have nine projects, valued at $5.7 million, and in South Australia we have two projects, valued at $1.6 million. We are developing several other projects in Western Australia, the ACT, the Northern Territory, and Tasmania to cover every corner of our country.

AS A RESULT OF THE PROJECTS ALREADY UNDERWAY, WE ARE SET TO DELIVER:

  • Over 1,100 jobs
  • Approximately
  • $250 million in estimated revenue$18.3 million worth of funding (from the AMGC, industry and in-kind)

We are eager to share our project stories in a bid to inspire other Australian manufacturers, and to demonstrate to Australian industry how they too can compete on the world stage. So, we encourage you to download and peruse a copy of our Projects Report, or visit the Projects & Hubs page on our website.
